Today

Apart from a few brighter spells at first it will be a cloudy day with some showery rain arriving this afternoon. There is also the risk of low cloud and hill fog in the south of the island.

Wind SE 18-22mph becoming 22-28mph

Rainfall 1-2mm

Tonight

Cloudy with further spells of rain at times at first but the rain will clear to broken cloud and scattered showers for the second half of the night. As the winds drop later in the night some mist patches are likely to develop in some central and eastern parts.

Temperature 6'c to 7'c in the south and west but closer to 3'c to 5'c in other parts with a few localised spots down to 2'c in central and eastern parts

Wind SW 18-25mph becoming 12-15mph but closer to 5-10mph in central and eastern parts

Rainfall 0.5-1.5mm

Tomorrow

Sunny spells as well as occasional areas of cloud moving through which may bring a few showers although some places remaining dry. If you do get a shower it may well be heavy with the risk of hail. During the afternoon some high think cloud is likely to spread up from the south turning the sun rather hazy.

Temperature 8'c to 9'c in most parts but windward coasts closer to 6'c or 7'c

Wind SW 10-15mph becoming S 3-8mph
