TODAY

After a fine and fresh start, some cloud will begin to develop, with an increasing chance of a few showers as we move towards the evening. However, any showers should remain mostly light or moderate.

Temperature: 14–15°C

Wind: north, 18–30 mph, becoming north-northeast at 19–37 mph

Rainfall: 0–1 mm, with localised rainfall possible.

TONIGHT

Further showers will move in from the Channel later in the night, especially towards dawn, and these could become locally very heavy. Mist and fog patches are also likely to develop as the night goes on. Winds will become fairly light in some inland areas, although it could turn a little gustier around any of the heavier showers.

Temperature: 9–10°C

Wind: north-northeast, 21–36 mph at first, becoming east to east-southeast at 12–21 mph later. However, inland areas are more likely to see winds closer to 3–8 mph

Rainfall: amounts remain uncertain, but generally 2–6 mm, with as much as 8–10 mm possible locally where any heavy showers become more persistent.

TOMORROW

Showers to start the day, but these will move away to leave some sunny spells and patchy cloud. Apart from the morning showers, things should settle down quite nicely by late morning and especially into the afternoon.

Temperature: 13–14°C

Wind: southeast, 10–17 mph, becoming 12–20 mph before turning a little more easterly later

Rainfall: 2–5 mm.
