TODAY

Morning cloud and rain will soon clear away, allowing sunny spells to move in from the west by late morning. We may still see the odd shower as we move through the afternoon, especially later in the afternoon and towards early evening. These may drift down from the northwest, but will be very localised, so not everywhere will see them.

Temperature: 14–15°C

Wind: northwest, 15–28 mph, becoming 11–22 mph later

Rainfall: 0–1 mm (3.4 mm has already fallen at our Lake station).

TONIGHT

Any evening showers will soon move away, with long clear spells developing. However, the breeze will continue, which should prevent temperatures from falling too far.

Temperature: generally 6–8°C, although a few sheltered rural spots could fall to 4–5°C

Wind: northwest, 10–18 mph, becoming northerly later.

TOMORROW

A fine and sunny start to the day. Some patchy cloud will begin to develop during the afternoon, with just the outside chance of a very light shower later in the day, although most places will remain dry.

Temperature: 13–14°C

Wind: north, 12–20 mph, becoming 14–24 mph for a time during the afternoon and perhaps turning a little more north-northeast as the day goes on.
