TODAY
This morning we'll see a lot of cloud and some patchy light rain and drizzle, although a briefly heavier spell of rain is likely to come through by late morning, although this will have cleared by early afternoon as sunny spells push in from the northwest. It will be quite windy for a time, but this will ease later.
Temperature: 20–21°C across the island as a whole
Wind: west-southwest 23–45 mph, becoming west or even west-northwest 18–32 mph during the afternoon, then easing to 12–22 mph during the evening
Rainfall: 1–2 mm, with 1.8 mm falling overnight at our Lake Station
TONIGHT
Some rather dense areas of cloud around at first, but this will thin somewhat as the night goes on to allow some clear spells to develop across the island. Temperatures will fall considerably lower than last night.
Temperature: 12–14°C pretty widely across the island, although closer to 15–16°C on windward coasts
Wind: west 11–20 mph at first, becoming 10–19 mph and easing to 6–12 mph by dawn
TOMORROW
A fine, sunny day across the island and feeling pleasantly warm in light to moderate breezes.
Temperature: Around 19°C in the south and west, 20–21°C elsewhere
Wind: west or west-northwest 5–9 mph, becoming west 9–15 mph by midday, then west-southwest 10–17 mph during the afternoon
