Rain turning more patchy and showery this afternoon - becoming very windy tomorrow with patchy/showery rain! 🌧️💨🌦️

TODAY
Persistent and rather heavy rain this morning will gradually begin to ease over the coming hours. There will still be some rain around this afternoon, although it will become more showery in nature, with a few drier spells here and there. A fair amount of low cloud and hill fog will affect southern and western hills, but not exclusively so, perhaps affecting some of the higher Downs routes at times as well.

Rainfall: 5–7 mm (13.5 mm has already fallen at our Lake station).
TONIGHT
Patchy, showery rain will clear away for a time, although a few showers may continue to develop and drift in from the Channel. Later in the night, cloud will thicken again as areas of patchy rain move up from the southwest, perhaps with the odd heavier burst towards dawn.
